Abstract

This paper is devoted to the study of electromagnetic wave propagation (having Gaussian intensity distribution) through a curved Selfoc fiber. The effect of radius of curvature on the positions of foci and the corresponding intensity distributions has been obtained. It has been shown that Selfoc fibers have a good tolerance toward bending compared to gas lenses.
