Abstract
Direct numerical simulation (DNS) is a technique to computationally generate turbulent velocity and scalar fields based on first principles of hydrodynamics. Here we present and discuss DNS results of isotropic and stratified optical turbulence. The numerical grid of our simulations consisted of up to 81923 grid points.
