Deep Learning for Turbulence-Tolerant Wavefront Reconstruction of Shack-Hartmann Wavefront Sensors

Abstract

Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensors are limited in turbulence by non-uniform illumination and branch points. We describe the Intensity/Slopes Network (ISNet), which reconstructs wavefronts from intensity and slope information, and demonstrate that it improves performance in turbulence.
