Simulation of Laser Beam Propagation in Deep Turbulence: Implied Inner Scale and Scintillation

Abstract

A discrepancy between wave optics simulation and theory has been reported when laser beams propagate through deep turbulence. In this work, we point out that an implied inner scale and outer scale in simulation that could be a likely contributor.
