Comparison of mid- and near-infrared link losses in simulated scattering and turbulent environment

Abstract

Much stronger losses are measured for a near-infrared link compared to a mid-infrared propagating through simulated fog in turbulent media. The turbulence is additional quantified through direct beam measurement at both wavelengths.
