CONVERGED ACCELERATED SOLUTION TO THE 1D RADIATIVE TRANSPORT EQUATION BY THE METHOD OF DOUBLING

Abstract

We apply the method of doubling, developed by van de Hulst, to solve the 1D radiative transfer equation in homogeneous atmospheres. Since our objective is a precise benchmark of 8-places, convergence acceleration is applied.
