Statistics of Branch Cut Lengths for Propagation of Coherent Fields through Turbulence

Abstract

Our simulations over a range of target sizes and turbulence strengths show that turbulence-only cases have shorter branch-cut lengths and cases with laser speckle have longer cut lengths that may persist even in stronger turbulence.
