On the scaling-based estimation of optical turbulence in the atmosphere

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We report spatio-temporal scaling characteristics of temperature in the atmosphere. These scaling traits are utilized in the estimation of Cn2. Furthermore, an alternative derivation and interpretation of a well-known Cn2 formulation by Tatarskii is proposed.
