Improved Parametrization for Estimating Cn2 from Numerical Weather Prediction

Abstract

Optical Turbulence estimates made from Numerical Weather Prediction using a modified approach based on Ciddor’s refractivity parametrization with temperature and hydrometer contributions is shown to predict measured 880nmscintillation better than a standard approach.
