Fiber Metamaterials: Recent Advances and Outlook

Abstract

We present recent progress in fiber metamaterial fabrication and characterization. We report fibers containing subwavelength wire arrays up to mid-infrared frequencies, subwavelength resonators with magnetic response at terahertz frequencies, and a metamaterial fiber-based hyperlens.
