Design and Development of Radiation Resistant Optical fiber for UV-Vis-NIR Region

Abstract

Radiation resistant optical fibers in the region of UV-Vis-NIR have been fabricated through MCVD process. Hydrogen-treatment along with pre-irradiation of the fiber exhibits significant reduction of radiation-induced-absorption in the UV-Vis region.
