Carbon Coating Characterization via Atomic Force Microscopy and Raman Spectroscopy

Abstract

Carbon coatings were deposited on optical fibers at different conditions and characterized using atomic force microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. The coating morphology was found to be independent of the coating thickness within 25 – 70 nm range.
