Comparison of eye-point and focimeter power and cylinder maps for progressive addition lenses

Abstract

Progressive addition lenses should be designed for optimum performance when viewed from the center of rotation of the eye. Designs that look good when mapped using a focimeter appear badly distorted from the eye-point perspective.
