Abstract
Sizes of fusional and refusional areas were measured at various eccentricities between ±12° for a 40 cm fixation distance. It is shown that the size of fusional areas (SFA) may increase or stay quasi-constant with eccentricity, depending on the observer. For all observers, the size of refusional areas is within the limits of SFA and remains quasiconstant with eccentricity.
