Abstract

Wavelet and multiresolution analysis are new techniques routinely used in signal processing. Unlike Fourier and windowed Fourier transforms, multiresolution analysis provide a time-scale analysis of a signal which is more direct and easy to comprehend. We apply multiresolution analysis to study differences in electroretinograms (ERG) obtained from normal and diseased retinas and the maturation of Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP).
