Influence of rotational wavepackets on the nitrogen ion emission in filaments

Abstract

We study the effect of rotational states of nitrogen ion on the emission at 428nm. A comparison between different pump wavelengths and polarizations suggest crucial dependence of stimulated emission on the stimulated rotational Raman scattering.
