Coherent Diffractive Imaging of Laser-Driven Plasma Dynamics in Thin Foils

Abstract

A microplasma generated by ultrashort 800nm pulse focused onto a 31nm gold foil is probed via coherent diffractive imaging at 400nm. The solid matter response is reconstructed from holograms which reflect the space and time dependent complex transmittance.
