Abstract
We demonstrate the generation of low-emittance ultrashort electron pulses derived from nanoscale photocathodes and their application in ultrafast transmission electron microscopy. Few-nanometer electron focal spot diameters are achieved, enabling the investigation of ultrafast nanoscale dynamics.
