Correlation Effects in the Photoemission Delay of Helium

Abstract

We measured the energy dependent photoemission delay of electrons escaping during shake-down and shake-up processes in helium. Excellent agreement with ab-initio calculations identifies electronic correlation contributions and allows benchmarking of theoretical models.
