Ultrafast E to Z Photoisomerization of Chiral Biomimetic Molecular Switches

Abstract

Transient absorption spectroscopy on chiral biomimetic molecular switches reveals a critical and novel influence of methyl substitutions on the photoreaction speed and on the observation of vibrational coherence in both isomerization directions.
