Photo-induced Structure Phase Transition Probed by Femotsecond Electron Diffraction

Abstract

The melting of orthorhombic structure of La0.84Sr0.16MnO3 is studied by femtosecond electron diffraction. The measurements indicate the destruction of orthorhombic structure involves a fast process of 1.21 ps and a slow one of 27.3 ps.
