Direct Frequency-Comb Photo-Association of Ultracold Rb2 molecules

Abstract

We describe a novel method for photo-association of vibrationally cold molecules from a cold atomic cloud. The method relies on coherent accumulation of shaped, phase stabilized pulses to coherently control the molecular wave-packet dynamics.
