Ultrafast X-ray diffraction and Optical Reflection Measurements of Coherent Optical Phonons of CdTe

Abstract

Coherent optical phonon of CdTe with a frequency of 5-THz is excited by femtosecond laser pulses and detected successfully with femtosecond time-resolved X-ray diffraction as well as with optical reflection measurements.
