Ultrafast Fano dynamics of quasiparticles in a semiconductor

Abstract

Transient Fano resonance of optical phonon and continuum quasiparticles in a semiconductor is theoretically studied. We find the destructive interference at birth of them, originating from the potential scattering by the q = 0 coherent phonon.
