Using of 2D PPLN Crystal for Surface-Emitted THz-wave Generation by Optical Rectification of the Laser Pulses

Abstract

The two dimensional periodically poled lithium niobate crystal is proposed for narrow-band THz-wave generation by optical rectification of ultrashort pulses delivered by kHz amplified system. The THz field strength a few tens kV/cm is estimated.
