Selective two-photon functional imaging through scattering media based on binary phase shaping

Abstract

Selective two-photon excitation of fluorescent probes is achieved using binary phase shaping. Even when the beam traverses a slab of scattering medium (chicken breast tissue) selective excitation is still achieved. We will present the first experimental demonstration of this example of coherent control through scattering tissue.
