Ultrafast relaxation inside proteins: Calculation and measurement of electron-vibration coupling in enzymes

Abstract

Electron-vibration coupling in alcohol dehydrogenase and zinc substituted myoglobin was calculated using a quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics method [2,3]. Good agreement with experimental measurements demonstrates the viability of the method.
