Calculating ultrafast nonlinear optical signals from molecules in condensed media

Abstract

We are calculating time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering signals from iodine molecules in cryogenic argon using semi-classical Gaussian wave packet dynamics. Evolving Wigner functions are used to analyze the dynamics underlying the nonlinear optical signal.
