Femtosecond laser frequency combs with 1-Hz-level linewidths

Abstract

The relative linewidth between two stabilized femtosecond laser frequency combs can be as low as 23 mHz. An upper limit of ≈4 Hz on the absolute linewidth of the individual frequency comb components is determined.
