Photophysics of even-parity excited states in polymeric semiconductors

Abstract

We present detailed femtosecond transient absorption measurements and quantum chemical calculations on the energetics and photophysics of even-parity excited states in phenylene oligomers. The role of these states on exciton dissociation processes is discussed.
