Abstract

26 fs excitation of a doubly degenerate transition in a molecule with square symmetry yielded a ~200 fs pump-probe anisotropy decay from 0.40(1) to 0.11(1). 2D spectra probe this rapid reorientation of the electronic wavefunction.
