High-energy femtosecond stretched-pulse fiber faser with a nonlinear optical loop mirror

Abstract

A stretched-pulse fiber laser with a nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM) produces 125-fs pulses with 1-nJ energy. These are the best results obtained with a laser utilizing a NOLM, which can be the basis for environmentally-stable designs.
