Abstract

Optical rectification and electro-optic sampling are the most frequently used methods for the generation and time-resolved detection of ultrashort THz pulses, respectively [1]. Both effects are efficient only if the group velocity Vvisgr of the ultrashort light pulse is matched to the phase velocity VTHzph of the generated THz radiation [2]
