Induced Coherent Protein Dynamics in Charge-Transfer Reaction of Plastocyanin

Abstract

Using plastocyanin, we studied protein dynamics with the optical excitation of the charge-transfer band by ultrafast spectroscopy. The observed low-frequency vibrational mode is attributed to the reaction induced coherent skeletal motion of protein.
