Abstract

Conformational transitions in small cyclic chromopeptides are photoinduced and verified by NMR-analysis. Femtosecond UV/vis-spectroscopic analysis of a cyclic azo-octa- peptide reveals the sub-ps photoisomerization of the light-switch and the slower photoresponse of the peptide backbone.
