Acoustic vibrations of silver nanoparticles

Abstract

By time-resolved pump-and-probe experiments we investigate the oscillation of silver nanoparticles. With the help of model calculations, the spectral dependence of our measurements indicates that both electrons and lattice contributions induce this oscillation.
