Diffraction Limited Emission of High Order Harmonics from Solid Surfaces

Abstract

High order harmonics are generated from solid surfaces using femtosecond pulses. For high-contrast-ratio laser pulses the harmonic emission is highly directional. Influence of the plasma scale length on harmonic divergence and efficiency is investigated.
