Abstract

Resonant cavity enhancement of second-harmonic generation using ps and sub-ps pulses is experimentally evaluated and numerically analyzed. We assess the spectral filtering/ cavity lifetime of the microcavity, and demonstrate that significant enhancements are possible for pulses as short as 150 fs.
