Abstract

53 dB gain has been achieved in a single Yb-fiber amplification stage providing 220 fs and 100 µJ pulses with average powers of up to 5.5 W when seeded with 0.5 nJ pulses from a femtosecond Raman-shifted and frequency-doubled Er-fiber laser.
