Techniques for attosecond pulse detection and the observation of electronic quantum motion

Abstract

A technique for attosecond pulse detection by cross-correlation with a strong laser pulse is presented and theoretically analyzed. As an application the observation of electronic motion in low lying atomic bound states is discussed.
