Spectral Interference Causing Noise in Spectrally Resolved Ultrafast Pump-Probe Experiments

Abstract

Disturbing Fabry-Perot like interference phenomena cause increased noise in ultrafast spectrally resolved pump-probe experiments. We compare measurements with model calculations and present a solution leading to the suppression of the disturbing effect by more than an order of magnitude.
