Sensitivity enhancement in swept-source optical coherence tomography by parametric balanced detector and amplifier

Abstract

We report a sensitivity enhancement method in interference signal detection of swept-source optical coherence tomography with all-fiber parametric amplifier and balanced detector. At least 12-dB sensitivity improvement, spanning over 76 nm was achieved.
