Extreme THz-matter interactions with semiconductors and DNA

Abstract

Using intense quasi-subcycle THz sources, we demonstrate various highly nonlinear THz effects in semiconductors. We also describe experimental results that show the first clear evidence of THz-induced disassembly of DNA nanostructures in solution.
