Abstract

Even with much advance in modern medicine, cancer is still a primary cause for human diseased-induced death. However, thanks to the improvement of fabrication technology, especially optical engineering, it has been moved to single cell level research by biophotonic devices. More and more multi-function automatically integrated lab-on-chips are being made, which will enlarge and deepen our knowledge about former unclearness of cells, leading to new visions and ways to fight against cancer. It is here presented one opto-fluidic microchip design for the study of cell deformability and migratory ability.
