Abstract

In this paper, we achieved a higher efficiency fiber coupled module based on 808nm single emitter diode lasers. All the single emitters in this system were contacted in series. The module can provide more than 67 Watts output power from a 200 microns fiber core with an numerical aperture (NA) of 0.22 at 5.8A. More than 84% coupling efficiency of the modular has been realized. The fiber coupled diode laser module could meet the need of pumping fiber lasers.
