Abstract

Laser range gate active illumination imaging system[1] has the following advantages: long effect range; high resolution; with some penetration; obtaining the information of object image under low light complex background. It is mainly applied to target reconnaissance, precision tracking, and target identification. At present, most imaging systems receiver is ICCD camera. In this paper, we suggest to use the single-pixel camera[2] which is designed based on compressed sensing theory[3], to replace original laser imaging system receiver ICCD camera. The novel system also can obtain high resolution images. Using more sensitive MCP-PMT detector, the system can detect weaker signals and further range than ICCD camera. And single-pixel camera has only one photon detector, the novel laser imaging system is expected to be developed into a more portable laser imaging system.
