Sub-cm Temperature Monitoring of 500 Weak Gratings Array Through Chirped Ultra-Short Light Pulses

Abstract

We developed a temperature quasi-distributed sensing system interrogating a 500 weak fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) array of 5 meters. It was possible to sense temperature changes down to 1°C with sub-centimeter spatial resolution.
