Principles and features of the SCALE (Short Comb Atmospheric Lidar Experiment) space lidar project

Abstract

A novel type of lidar is investigated by a CNES’s “phase 0” advanced study, optimizing comb spectroscopy for a single atmospheric line scan. This allows to retrieve more parameters than with a classical DIAL lidar.
