Ultra-Long Optical Fiber Tapering Technique for Sensing and Nonlinear Optic Applications

Abstract

Ultra-long, uniform micro-fiber tapering technique is reported. Fabrication of a stand of 20-cm-long micro-fiber with the diameter of 1 μm and its transmission property will be discussed. Experimental results confirm the validity of our approach.
