In-Fiber Acousto-Optic Tunable Gratings for Sensing Applications

Abstract

The operating principles and implementation of in-fiber acousto-optic tunable gratings exploiting flexural and torsional acoustic waves are presented. Spectral shaping of each scheme and its potential applications to optical sensors will be described.
